For a landscaping company on the island, we are looking for a Commercial & Residential Supervisor.

Job Description

The Commercial & Residential Supervisor is responsible for a proper execution of all landscaping maintenance activities with commercial accounts. The Commercial & Residential Supervisor coaches his team of gardeners to deliver the highest level of customer service. He/she is responsible for complying with the established departmental sales and cost budgets and the company policies and procedures.

  • Contacts customer (commercial & residential) regularly during execution of project to ensure customers satisfaction;
  • Handles all claims and complaints from customers in an efficient and proper manner;
  • Ensures that maintenance work is executed on time and within schedule, while inspecting each maintenance site at least once a day;
  • Ensures good condition and availability of equipment and tools needed to perform scheduled maintenance activities;
  • Makes weekly inspection rounds per customer and report findings to Landscaping Services Manager;
  • Responsible for the Commercial & Residential Maintenance inventory of cars and all equipment;
  • Organizes regular department meetings and ensures motivated and well-trained staff with customer-friendly attitude, while setting example;
  • Periodically performs constructive performance evaluation of staff;
  • Walks around, performing spot checks and taking corrective steps up to and including coaching and disciplinary action towards employees;
  • Keeps abreast of development in landscaping area and brings observed trends to the attention of Landscaping Services and peers;
  • At all times, has the overall interest of the company at heart and portrays a cooperative attitude towards challenges in own and other departments.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills in Papiamento, Dutch, English and Spanish.
  • Good knowledge of plants, trees, landscaping products and practices.
  • Customer service-minded with keen eye for business opportunities.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Basic administrative skills.
  • Coaching skills
