A leading freight forwarder in Aruba is seeking a Sales and Business Development Manager to drive growth and expand market presence. In this key leadership role, you’ll shape growth strategy, build the sales organization, and oversee sales operations.
Job Description
The Sales & Business Development Manager is responsible for:
- Identifying and engaging potential customers, follow up on leads, and attending industry events.
- Building long-term relationships by understanding client needs and offering tailored solutions.
- Developing and implementing strategic sales plans based on market trends.
- Preparing sales forecasts and performance reports for management.
- Identifying new service opportunities to meet customer needs and drive growth.
- Coordinating cross-functional implementation and launch of new services.
- Managing the sales budget and allocating resources effectively.
- Providing regular reports and market analysis to support strategic decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in (logistics) sales.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Deep understanding of logistics processes and transport modalities.
- Track record of acquiring new clients and nurturing existing relationships.
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and able to perform under pressure.
- Fluent in Dutch and English; Papiamento and/or Spanish is a plus.
