The Network and Communication Engineer is responsible for ensuring the continuity, availability, security, and optimal functionality of the organization’s ICT network and communication infrastructure. The role supports management in the execution of ICT policy and plays a key part in maintaining a stable, reliable, and future-ready network environment that supports business operations.
Job Description
- Support management in developing, implementing, and evaluating ICT policies for network and communication infrastructure.
- Configure, document, and maintain network and communication infrastructure, including new implementations and upgrades.
- Provide second-line support for network-related incidents and coordinate with specialists on complex issues.
- Contribute to business continuity and calamity planning to ensure network resilience and recovery.
- Monitor technological developments and translate relevant innovations into practical improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Network & Security Engineering or a related field.
- Strong technical expertise in network and communication technologies.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in Dutch, English, Papiamento, and Spanish
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with experience in network security and monitoring.
- Familiarity with routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud-based network environments.
- Structured, independent, and stress-resistant, able to manage incidents and priorities effectively.
- Relevant certifications are considered a plus.
