Job Description
As the CDD & Regulatory Risk Manager, you will lead a dedicated team of Officers and play a strategic role in upholding the integrity and regulatory compliance of the organization. In this function you will drive the development, implementation, and oversight of the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) program, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, including AML, CFT, and KYC regulations.
- Provide strong leadership, mentorship, and coaching to the CDD team.
- Oversee all aspects of the onboarding and review processes for both new and existing customers, ensuring thorough customer due diligence and enhanced due diligence (EDD) where applicable.
- Develop and execute strategic initiatives to continuously improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability of the CDD function.
- Design, implement, and regularly update policies and procedures for customer identification, verification, risk profiling, and continuous monitoring.
- Work closely with departments such as Compliance, Legal, Risk, and Audit to ensure consistent application of standards and policies.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex CDD-related matters, providing resolution and strategic guidance.
- Ensure the Client Due Diligence program operates in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Promote a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Assess training needs, organize learning initiatives, and ensure the team remains current with best practices and regulatory updates.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Min. 8 years relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years supervisory/managerial experience.
- Deep understanding of financial sector regulations, with specific expertise in CFT, AML and KYC frameworks.
- Solid knowledge of regulatory standards governing financial transactions and client due diligence.
- Strong foundation in risk management principles, with a sharp eye for detecting irregularities, fraud indicators, and unusual activity.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex data and develop sound recommendations.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact across all organizational levels.
- Proficiency in key software tools, including Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization platforms.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and consistently meet deadlines in a high-paced, results-oriented environment.
