Job Description
In this role you focus on designing, implementing, and monitoring the organization’s ICT security policy, including information security and privacy policies. The position plays a key role in safeguarding the organization’s digital environment, ensuring compliance with regulations, and strengthening the overall security posture. In this role, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:
- Supports the Department Head in preparing, developing, implementing, and evaluating ICT policy.
- Translates ICT policy into guidelines and a risk profile for ICT Security for internal and external users, taking into account (international) laws and regulations as well as the organization’s needs and requirements.
- Implements, evaluates, and, where necessary, adjusts ICT Security guidelines, risk profiles, ICT security concepts, ICT architectures, and ICT techniques.
- Creates awareness and provides instructions and advice to all departments and employees regarding ICT security matters.
- Monitors the execution of the ICT security policy.
- Performs (or arranges for) periodic ICT security audits and organizes and maintains ICT Security certifications.
- Identifies ICT security vulnerabilities, takes corrective actions where possible, reports to the Department Head, and proposes additional remediation measures when necessary.
- Holds managers and system administrators accountable for resolving vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Advises the Department Head on ICT security methods, techniques, and systems, and develops concrete specifications for security systems.
- Proactively keeps up to date with the latest developments in the field and translates these developments into organizational improvements.
- Contributes to the implementation of the emergency and disaster recovery plan.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Information Security Management or Computer Science (Informatics), supplemented with additional training in ICT Security.
- Knowledge of the professional field.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in Dutch, English, and Papiamento; Spanish is an advantage.
- Strong collaboration skills and customer-oriented mindset.
- Strong analytical abilities and the initiative to take proactive action.
