Job Description

The Integrity Officer advises leadership, champions ethical standards, and serves as the trusted expert on integrity-related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the organization’s integrity framework and drive related initiatives in line with strategy and timelines.
  • Regularly review and update policies to ensure compliance with legal standards and directives from the Centrale Bank van Aruba.
  • Monitor emerging developments in integrity and provide strategic advice to the Management Board.
  • Support the Management Board in identifying and mitigating integrity risks.
  • Design, implement, and enhance policies, procedures, and controls related to integrity and ethics.
  • Deliver training and awareness programs for staff at all levels, including management and supervisory boards.
  • Act as a visible point of contact for integrity concerns, promoting ethical behavior across the organization.
  • Conduct background checks, risk assessments, and investigations in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaise with regulators, auditors, and oversight bodies to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Assess conflicts of interest and ensure proper controls are in place to manage them.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • Min. 3 years of operational experience within a financial institution or in Compliance.
  • Solid understanding of applicable legislation and compliance frameworks.
  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate integrity-related risks in an organizational setting.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels.
  • Strong writing skills, capable of producing clear, concise, and well-structured reports, policies, and recommendations.
  • Adept at building and maintaining productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
