Job Description
As the General Manager overseeing the daily operations of a vibrant Mexican venue, you will lead a team to ensure exceptional service, high-quality food, and an outstanding guest experience. You will manage and coach the restaurant, bar, and kitchen staff, drive operational efficiency, and maintain a lively, engaging atmosphere that reflects the spirit of the El Patio branding. This role requires leadership, a passion for food & beverage, and the ability to manage the operational aspects of the business.
- Manage and mentor restaurant staff in the day-to-day operations.
- Ensure smooth and efficient operations across all shifts, maintaining high energy and quality service.
- Uphold and enhance the quality and presentation of menu items.
- Address guest complaints and ensure that satisfaction levels remain high, promoting a positive dining environment.
- Monitor budgets, labor costs, food costs, and other operational expenses.
- Oversee inventory processes, including ordering, reviewing, and storing food, beverages, and supplies.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and the overall guest experience.
- Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate best practices to keep the venue exciting and fresh.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years in restaurant supervision/management.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills.
- Understanding of the food and beverage industry, with a specific focus on casual dining concepts.
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and analyzing financial reports.
- Skilled in streamlining operations, improving processes, and maintaining a fast-paced yet smooth-running restaurant.
- Fluent in English, additional proficiency in Spanish and Papiamento are a plus.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
