Are you a skilled professional with expertise in developing, maintaining and optimizing IT systems? Our client in the hospitality sector is seeking a reliable and resourceful IT Specialist to support their team.
Job Description
As the IT Specialist, you’ll manage, maintain, and enhance the IT systems and infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for implementing new technologies, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring seamless operations across all departments.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide timely and effective support to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Regularly update and train staff on basic IT systems and protocols.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues related to system integrity, connectivity and security.
- Responsible for system and network management.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Disaster Recovery Plan.
- Maintain SQL Server and databases.
- Develop and maintain in-house programs.
- Oversee data backups, system updates, and security patches to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
- Work with other departments to identify and address tech needs.
- Implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Conduct regular system audits and generate reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s thinking level in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft Certified Professional, and 3CX certifications are a plus.
- 3+ years’ experience in IT support or a similar role.
- Strong expertise in network administration, troubleshooting. Knowledge and experience in cybersecurity is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with integrated resort systems.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Fluency in English, Spanish, Dutch, and Papiamento.
- Excellent time management skills. Able to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including evenings and weekends (on-call).
