Job Description
The Executive Housekeeper oversees all housekeeping operations, ensuring exceptional cleanliness, safety, and guest satisfaction across the resort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily housekeeping operations across guest rooms, public, and back-of-house areas
- Conduct regular inspections to uphold cleanliness and maintenance standards
- Develop and maintain effective housekeeping procedures and service programs
- Plan and oversee room refurbishment schedules
- Prepare and manage housekeeping budgets; control expenses within approved limits
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing of supplies and equipment
- Liaise with vendors to ensure quality, pricing, and timely delivery
- Lead recruitment, training, performance management, and development of housekeeping staff
- Foster a positive, high-performance team environment
- Schedule staff to ensure optimal coverage across all areas
- Track productivity, evaluate workflows, and implement improvements
- Coordinate maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or 8+ years of equivalent experience
- Proven leadership experience in housekeeping or a related field
- Ability to operate at strategic, tactical, and operational levels
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping standards, procedures, and cleaning methods
- Experience with budgeting, cost control, and workforce planning
- Knowledge of housekeeping chemicals and safe handling practices
- Familiarity with labor laws and environmental regulations
- Experience developing and delivering training programs
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
