Job Description
The Junior HR Advisor works closely with the HR Manager within a small and dynamic HR team, contributing to the smooth execution of daily HR operations while providing support and guidance to both managers and employees on HR-related matters. Key responsibilities include:
- Manage, maintain, and continuously improve accurate employee records and HR systems.
- Coordinate and support onboarding, offboarding, and temporary contracting processes, ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Prepare HR reports, maintain documentation, and support compliance with internal policies and labor regulations.
- Support HR communication and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality.
- Coordinate and manage HR-related facilities (e.g., uniforms, tools, and other employee resources).
- Support the coordination and administration of learning & development initiatives and training programs.
- Assist in maintaining and communicating compensation and benefits programs.
- Support employee wellbeing, engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Contribute to a positive, professional, and consistent employee experience across the organization.
- Provide first-line HR support and guidance to managers and employees on day-to-day HR topics.
- Support the performance management process, including follow-up and coordination.
- Contribute to HR projects and organizational initiatives (e.g., culture, engagement, process improvements).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in an HR support or administrative role.
- Solid understanding of HR processes and applicable labor law principles.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proactive, hands-on mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels.
- High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Experience with HR systems and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Fluency in English, Dutch, and Papiamento (Spanish is a plus).
