About this job

For our client, a family-owned construction company in Aruba, we are looking for an experienced and hands-on Project Manager. As Project Manager, you oversee construction projects from planning to completion, coordinating on-site teams, resources and daily activities. You monitor progress, quality, costs and deadlines while maintaining close communication with clients, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Coordinate and manage construction projects. 
  • Develop, maintain and adjust project plans, schedules and work programs. 
  • Coordinate day-to-day activities across project sites and ensure work is carried out according to agreed plans and priorities. 
  • Lead and support the project team and ensure effective allocation of tasks and resources. 
  • Monitor project progress, quality, costs and deadlines and take corrective action when necessary. 
  • Plan and coordinate the required materials, equipment and resources. 
  • Perform and review technical calculations and interpret drawings, specifications and other project documentation. 
  • Identify technical and operational issues and develop practical solutions. 
  • Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors and other external parties. 
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding project requirements, progress, changes and delivery. 
  • Ensure work is performed in accordance with applicable quality and safety requirements. 
  • MBO+/HBO level of education in Engineering, Construction, Civil Engineering or a related technical field. 
  • Relevant experience in construction, engineering and/or project management. 
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling and day-to-day construction operations. 
  • Technical understanding, including drawings, calculations, construction materials and methods. 
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Project or comparable software. 
  • Strong planning, organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently manage projects and priorities. 
  • A hands-on, practical and approachable leadership style, with the ability to guide and motivate a team. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and customer-oriented approach.
