Risk, Insurance & Compliance Officer

Are you a proactive professional with a keen eye for risk and governance? In this role, you will help protect the organization by managing risks, overseeing insurance processes, and supporting compliance and operational excellence.

Job Description

  • Monitor, assess, and report on organizational risks while supporting the development and implementation of effective mitigation strategies.
  • Manage the organization’s insurance portfolio, including coverage reviews, claims administration, reconciliations, and coordination with brokers and other external stakeholders.
  • Oversee incident and claims processes, ensuring timely reporting, follow-up, analysis, and continuous process improvement.
  • Conduct risk assessments for business operations and projects, monitor mitigation actions, and ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and internal requirements.
  • Perform due diligence and compliance reviews of suppliers, contractors, and business partners.
  • Coordinate risk, compliance, fraud, and insurance awareness initiatives, including training, workshops, and internal communications.
  • Provide risk and compliance advice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Law, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Additional specialization or certification in Risk Management, Compliance, Auditing, Insurance, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in risk management, insurance, compliance, auditing, or a related field.
  • Sound knowledge of risk management frameworks, governance, compliance processes, and internal control systems (AO/IC).
  • Knowledge of legal and insurance principles is considered an advantage.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments, due diligence, and compliance reviews.
  • Professional certifications such as CRMP, CRMA, ACAMS, CISA, or equivalent are considered an asset.
